College plans have been catching up to me. Everytime I wake up, time keeps getting closer, and my mind gets more worried. Which college is right for me? I'm scared of entering a college that either is too expensive, but I love, or something so cheap that I end up hating. I have come down to 3 choices:
1.SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design)
2.AI (Atlanta Art Institute)
3.GSU (Georgia State)
The thing about SCAD is that it is considered my dream college. Well too bad for me, because I can't get everything I want. SCAD's tuition is around 29K. That may not seem much to you, but that is everything to me. They offer the major that I am looking for, and they also offer great professors.
AI is another story. AI's tuition is around 22k. The thing is, I don't hear good things about this college. Many people tell me that it sucks, yes THAT IT SUCKS. So what I'm doing is I have scheduled for a meeting with the admissions lady, and will be taking a tour of the college. I am hoping for good outcomes because I don't want to end up hating what this college has to offer also.
Georgia State is my back up college. The other two art colleges are private meaning they are super expensive. Now Georgia state is a lot cheaper, but of course its a public and regular college. I won't be getting the creative or artistic part of the community, but I at least will get my perquisite classes done.
I thought to myself when I started college that it was going to be far away down the road. That caught up to me. Now I am debating 24/7 about which scholarship or which college am I going to apply for. This bothers me a lot because senior year is all about applying for a college. Most students will say that senior year is the year where people get "senioritus" and totally goof off, but you see, those people don't succeed. They don't care is why. If you are reading this, and you are currently in highschool, be careful, the older you are, the faster time will catch up to you.
