Art Insitute of Atlanta

My interview with AI was scheduled for Monday at 6PM. I was pretty nervous because i was scheduled for an interview. At SCAD it was different. They introduced the campus and explained some of the activities/classes that were offered there. AI on the other hand helped explain the different things offered by sitting down and explaining the different types of offers. I felt more comfortable and secure with AI, but I still would really love to go to SCAD. AI's campus is a bit tiny, and secluded in Dunwoody, while SCAD is in downtown Atlanta. AI's apartment type dorm is actually located 20 min. away from the campus, WTF!?!?! That is really so far and pointless to live there in the dorm, then it actually takes me 20 min to get there from my own house... Really at this point, AI is a backup college choice for me. After I apply and get all the applications in, I will just have to wait and see what the colleges have to offer for me. It is really hard debating about which one to go to, but I am confident on my choices and will be happy with whichever is chosen. It is kind of sad that education is to be dealt with by the amount of money being poured into it. Hopefully my portfolio will earn me a couple of grants and scholarships.

Autumn's Concerto *SPOILERS*

I finally decided to give myself a break and just relax. I was checking on Aznv.tv for some good dramas to watch, and came up on Autumn's Concerto. The name seemed catching, so I decided to start watching it. It is a Taiwanese drama, but the concept behind it is less immature than the ones that I have watched. This seems like a cute but also depressing movie with so much emotion coming from the character. Most Taiwanese drama series add in sound effects and silly retorts, but this one keeps its straight face and still has a deep impact. My first impression after episode 1 was pretty good. The movie is still on its starting pace, but I can see a deeper story forming up.

The 1st episode of the drama series is based between a very stingy and selfish law student and a orphaned girl. The rich law student is the son of the University's Dean, so he ends up doing anything he wants. What he mostly likes to do is get others in trouble and also getting himself into trouble to send his mother a message that he hates his life. The girl works in the lunch room of the University with her step mother. Her father passed away when she was young, so she was left alone with her step mother. Her life goes from riches to rags when her father passes away and leaves them with only debt. The guy, Ren Guang Xi, and the girl, Mu Cheng first meet face to face when he decides to park his car right in front of the bus that she was riding in. He in the course was having an argument with his girlfriend in the car and wouldn't move it. Instead, Mu Cheng hops in the car to move it for her, only to end up crashing it into the bus. They both end up at the police station having to resolve the issue. Mu Cheng is innocent, while Ren Guang ends up working on community service. He swore to make her life a living hell. They go on their first date because of a bet that he made with his friends that he could kiss her in less than 24 hours. She falls in for it because of the fact that he has an English book that belonged to her that she dropped while at the police station. At their date, the guy ends up getting a picture of them kissing, but the girl eventually tells him that she also made a deal with her friends, which causes him to get pissed off.

What happens overall is that they fall in love, and Mu Cheng ends up pregnant, but during that time, Ren Guang ends up having a memory loss from a major brain surgery. His mother tells Mu Cheng to stop hanging on to him, so she eventually leaves, still bearing his child. Years pass, and Mu Cheng gives birth to her son, while Ren Guang still doesn't remember anything and ends up marrying the lady who did surgery on his head. Ren Guang and Mu Cheng meet later on, but he still doesn't know who she is until she plays a familiar piano piece that they both know. It causes him to remember their times together, but Ren Guang's engagement with his fiance forms a barrier between their found love.

More...Crap

Thanksgiving is coming up, and what does that mean? FOOD!! And of course free time to myself. I can sit down and quietly go into my own world where all I do is work on artwork and game... It's almost the end of the 1st semester of school. The time is catching back up to me, but I'm going to try my best to keep up with it. This Saturday is National Portfolio Day in Atlanta. It will be held in Cobb Galleria from 11AM-3PM, which I will be attending with bunches of my buddies. My portfolio at this moment is so heavy that I may lose an army just carrying that big of a thing. I also helped my family move a lot of junk out from the basement, and ended up moving my studio area to a different side of the room. This is of course near a window where I can actually get oxygen.

I still need to get some pictures uploaded, but all I can do right now is sit and do homework, then go do artwork. I really just don't have time for myself anymore. I will be on livestream sometimes working on artwork or just showing off my bunny. I have also made a couple of videos of myself singing... which I may upload them to my youtube, depending if they are decent or not!

more busy!

I have been very busy this year, especially with running NAHS and having to work with so much artwork! I have made a deviant, but I still haven't found the time to upload any of my work, how sad is that? I am currently waiting for a "free" weekend so I can sit down, upload pics, new updates, and work on and other various things to make this blog look nicer. College applications are due soon, so I have to get my portfolio ready and get scholarship opportunities done. This is usually my schedule:

1. wake up at 5
2. Go to school at 6:30
3. Get home at 4
5. Homework/artwork till 8 or 9
6. Have other activities in between that takes up the other free time, so I am left with going to sleep at 10:30-11:00.

I have also been updating on Digg, Kotaku, and Poupeegirl, which for right now is a lot to keep up with, but I am trying. I have done so much stuff this year that I had to stop playing video games so much. Well isn't that amazing, because I believed that was impossible for me!

I feel...Sick

So I have a cold at the moment. Not the best thing in the world, especially when it arrives at your doorsteps on a weekend. So now I'm in bed and I feel like crap. Need I say more? Though its a weekend, I have so much stuff to do. I have to finish my wood art piece, and also finished a collage painting I was doing in my AP 2Design class.

My SAT yesterday wasn't so bad, but right after that I had to go face paint at the Peachtree Place Fall Festival. I have been to around 4 Fall festivals already in one year. It was really fun, and they fed us, so I didn't starve myself to a corpse.

I have been updating on my poupee girl by dressing her up and uploading cute things of mine, but the thing is, this online dress up thing takes some time to get used to. Having to sit down and post images of my accessories and clothes to earn ribbons really creeps up my back. I either feel annoyed by it or just don't want to attempt it cause it takes around 20 min of my life to take pics and upload them for others to gawk at. The only thing I like about them is their cute clothes that you can dress your doll with. The thing I hate the most is that the ribbons you use to buy your outfits can only be earned by logging in daily, dressing up your doll, and also by commenting on other people's products. The bad thing about this is that there is only 1 game within the whole system, and it's not even a game where you can earn ribbons. You pay ribbons in order to play the game to win clothing.

Procrastinating.....

So my SAT is tomorrow and I am in a "I don't really care" mood at the moment. I am very tired, but I don't want to go to sleep, it's not worth it. I started to think about Epileptic Gaming , a used to be online streaming show. Though the former hosts have broken up and left to do their own thing, Kamra and Cami have started their own show called GFTO.tv. I watched this yesterday in fascination about how online streaming shows work. Their show is very entertaining, and I love how Cami goes from being a topic on youtube to ending up so popular on the web. She has also become pretty popular in the gaming world and is worldly known as "TheBurntMatches". After this, I started thinking...what if Cami, this super cute Asian chick ends up being the next Olivia Munn from "Attack of the Show" though her smoking and drinking habits overflows Munn's. This really got me thinking of the future. How I would end up, still playing video games and working with art. Will I end up being worldly known in competitive gaming or what not? The thought is scary, but also exciting.

I will be going to sleep soon, but before I go, I want to show these very intricate artistic works out of clay. Different in every shape and form, but also beautiful to many extent. These clay artworks are made by Meridith Dittmar, and they emphasize on fantasy and also nature.

College Plans

College plans have been catching up to me. Everytime I wake up, time keeps getting closer, and my mind gets more worried. Which college is right for me? I'm scared of entering a college that either is too expensive, but I love, or something so cheap that I end up hating. I have come down to 3 choices:

1.SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design)
2.AI (Atlanta Art Institute)
3.GSU (Georgia State)

The thing about SCAD is that it is considered my dream college. Well too bad for me, because I can't get everything I want. SCAD's tuition is around 29K. That may not seem much to you, but that is everything to me. They offer the major that I am looking for, and they also offer great professors.

AI is another story. AI's tuition is around 22k. The thing is, I don't hear good things about this college. Many people tell me that it sucks, yes THAT IT SUCKS. So what I'm doing is I have scheduled for a meeting with the admissions lady, and will be taking a tour of the college. I am hoping for good outcomes because I don't want to end up hating what this college has to offer also.

Georgia State is my back up college. The other two art colleges are private meaning they are super expensive. Now Georgia state is a lot cheaper, but of course its a public and regular college. I won't be getting the creative or artistic part of the community, but I at least will get my perquisite classes done.

I thought to myself when I started college that it was going to be far away down the road. That caught up to me. Now I am debating 24/7 about which scholarship or which college am I going to apply for. This bothers me a lot because senior year is all about applying for a college. Most students will say that senior year is the year where people get "senioritus" and totally goof off, but you see, those people don't succeed. They don't care is why. If you are reading this, and you are currently in highschool, be careful, the older you are, the faster time will catch up to you.

High School, a joke?

Currently Listening to : Cascada - Evacuate the Dancefloor >o<

High school is practically full of jokes and stupidity. The only classes that I look forward to are AP 2D Design and of course web design class. The thing about high school is that most people, usually the teachers, tell you that you are "learning" things that become useful when you of course are living in the middle of nowhere and have no communication with others. WRONG. I at first believed that, but that realization has come to an end. My conclusion is that high school is a total joke. You learn things NOT of your specialization when you go to college. It is a repeat of being treated as a child. They tell you to do your homework and you will earn a beautiful letter for it. If I could change high school, I would make it have classes that you can choose because of what your specializing in for college. That, my friends, is what "prepares" you for the future, not taking years of class that is needed for requirement under the school's eyes. I have taken pictures of literally what I do in my favorite classes, which is eat, draw, and have fun!

My Web Design Class

The computer I use during class

The AP 2D Studio Room

Oh and by the way, I have made another blog, called learncreativity. It will specialize more under learning how to draw/paint and of course my artwork with full explanations of what the piece means to me.

Jennifer's Body Review *SPOILERS*

So recently, I just watched Jennifer's Body. At first I just wanted to watch it because of the fascination of how hot Megan Fox is. Well, after watching the beginning of the movie, I have lost interest in Megan Fox, and have focused more on the nerdy best friend of hers. The whole Megan Fox turning into a demon and killing people for food to stay young was a very malicious twist, especially for the image Megan Fox portrays. You would least expect her to be the predator. This movie contains no faint of foreshadowing, as every event that occurs is of course so obvious. I would rate this movie a 3/5. One thing I did like was how the setting was very eerie/moody and gray to portray the feeling of Megan Fox. I would have to say the ending was great how the best friend ends up killing the band who made Megan Fox into a demon. What a great twist!

Terrible Tuesday

I am right now in computer class, hoping for this day to end. Sad news is, I still have my NAHS meeting that I have to go over with my members, and also I have Robotics meeting. Tuesdays are the worst for me. It is the day where I get most of the homework, and of course my events after school is piled up. A specific thing that is getting to me is that all the students are annoyed by the rabbit's smell in his cage. Yes, we have a rabbit in our art class as our "art" bunny. I am responsible for feeding and cleaning him, but since I am so busy, things catch up to me, and I don't end up cleaning his cage so much anymore. At this moment, I wish someone would help me clean up the cage!!!! It is so funny how the bunny was so cute when he was a new born, but now since he is older, many people disrespect his existance. They say cruel and mean things, but still the rabbit is cute as ever!

He is a black dwarf with a velvet like fur. He doesn't bite, but he does lick. The worst thing is cleaning up his rabbit litter. I always cringed when I could smell the stench, but I am now used to it.

New bought items!

So I finally got the time to upload pictures of my new bento set imported from Japan, and also my cute Chun-li costume.

The Bento set is themed in strawberry, and is all plastic. They are microwavable when the lids are removed. Bentos are like American lunch boxes, but more cute and decorative. Many people in Japan make bento art which is cute looking food designs within their bento boxes. The set I ordered had around 18 pieces including bags for each box, a fork, chopstick set, soy sauce containers, and a couple of cute accessories. I have always enjoyed bento boxes because of how much more interesting it is to eat when your food is delightful looking in such a cute decorated box!

Updates

So I decided to finally update on a couple of things on my blog. I will be making a new layout/banner for my blog, but currently I need to study for my SAT. I just now realized I need to start taking a couple new pictures of myself and my artwork. I need to also make a deviantart account, update more on Conceptart.org. On the right side of this page, you will be able to find some twitter updates, my favorite links, and all sorts of junk that may come to use.

I finally got myself a poupeegirl, which is this cute Japanese fashion doll site. I am a big fashion person myself, but I lack the fashion worn in real life...well that is what I say. I am glad that I am now blogging. I have lost my real connection with expressions by sticking my head too deep into school. I have become so busy in high school, I can't wait for college to come to my doorsteps. Enjoyment, here I come!

Halloween

It was a really rainy night, but I successfully collected candy. My Chun-li costume didn't arrive before the due date, so I had to wear one of my Japanese style lolita outfits. It is a really cute outfit, but not as scary for Halloween. After that, I watched Howl's Moving Castle AGAIN with my friends. Miyazaki has a real twist in feminism ideas when it comes to action and fantasy. I really enjoy the fantasy and concept characters that comes to life in Miyazaki's film, especially the ones with no identity because of their lack in facial structures. If anyone has not seen any of Miyazaki's films, get to it right now! It is a must see animation movie!

Status on Watercolor artwork: Finished it, looks great. I love how my ideas for it kept changing as I came up with new ideas to fit into the piece. I will try to take a picture and show the finished product. My concept ended up becoming a trypdicht acting as a hanging frame.
